Tanya graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Science in 2007 and a Master of Physical Therapy in 2010. She loves to learn and has completed numerous continuing education courses. She stands out among her peers because she strives to treat the root cause of symptoms, rather than just the symptoms themselves. Tanya focuses on individual functional and athletic rehabilitation using techniques including Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT), Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), active rehabilitation and exercise prescription, acupuncture and dry needling, myofascial release, cupping, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), spinal and peripheral joint mobilizations, spinal traction/decompression, nerve mobilizations, the Mulligan and McKenzie methods, therapeutic taping and bracing, vertigo (BPPV) and concussion management, TMJ treatment, scar management, and paediatric treatment.
Aside from treating orthopaedic conditions, Tanya has a keen interest in paediatrics and has volunteered with paediatric populations in Nepal and Vietnam. When she’s not chasing after her toddler, Tanya enjoys travelling, cooking, being outdoors, and listening to good music.
